Description: Responsibilities include:
Escorts patients to exam room and assists in determining their chief clinical complaints.
Assists patients in flow through clinic. Takes vital signs, performs EKGs, obtain and review patient medications and enter information in to EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.
Ability to perform blood draw with in house laboratory and vaccinations with IM injections.
Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examination and testing. Maintaining cleanliness throughout office and exam rooms. Stocks and orders supplies as necessary
Checks appointment schedules and assists receptionist with physician's patient schedule when needed.
Renews patient prescription when deemed necessary by physicians/RNs and updates EMR accordingly.
Monitors laboratory requisitions and test completion.
Takes telephone messages as directed and screens calls for appropriate referral to physician.
Communicates via phone with patients about results, in collaboration with physician, is important
Performs related work as required.
No Weekends or After Hours!
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Must be a Certified Medical Assistant program graduate; Knowledge with EPIC medical record software is preferred.
