We are seeking a Certified Asbestos Abatement Foreman/Laborer to join our environmental services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and participating in asbestos abatement and removal projects in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position requires leadership and/or hands-on labor, ensuring job site safety, quality, and productivity.
Foreman Duties:
Lead and supervise a team of asbestos abatement workers on job sites.
Conduct job site safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific asbestos regulations.
Maintain clear communication with the project manager and clients.
Ensure that all crew members adhere to proper abatement procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Complete and submit daily work logs, safety checklists, and project documentation.
Inspect work areas to confirm that abatement procedures are correctly followed.
Laborer Duties:
Perform hands-on asbestos abatement, including containment setup, material removal, cleanup, and disposal.
Operate hand tools, HEPA vacuums, and other specialized equipment safely.
Assist in erecting and dismantling containment areas and decontamination units.
Properly handle, bag, and label hazardous materials for disposal.
Support fellow crew members in completing work safely and efficiently.
