Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring full-time Experienced Automotive Instrumentation Technicians for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. We are seeking candidates who are mechanically inclined and possess automotive electrical experience. Candidates who possess a background in car stereo/alarm installation would be a good fit. This full-time Experienced Automotive Instrumentation Technician position is based out of Warren, MI. and offers an AM Day shift and possible overtime. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Experienced Automotive Instrumentation Technician position below are strongly encouraged to apply. AM Day shift + possible overtime available.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00/hr. (Depending on experience)

Shift:

 AM Day shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday, plus possible overtime as needed)

Responsibilities:

Work onsite at customers facility

Light mechanical work on test vehicles

Building and installing automotive data acquisition systems, racks, sensors and wiring.

Building and installing low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses, auxiliary battery and electrical systems

Installing, adjusting and calibrating sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers and data acquisition systems

Collaborating with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify required locations for sensor installation according to customers direction.

Assisting in performing complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation according to customers direction

Diagnosing faulty low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring systems and repair

Working with electronic functional and measurement tools, such as power supplies, function generators, and multimeter

Maintaining records by entering notes into service repair requests

Keeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs

Requirements:

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Minimum 4 -7 years' automotive technician experience

 Strong background in electrical, wiring, auto electrical (car stereo installation, remote starts, etc), or instrumentation experience

 Must have own tools with rolling toolbox

 Possess the skills to follow any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects, such as work requests, shop procedures and/or shop manuals, publications or schematic diagrams

 Be a self-starter & self-motivated

 Possess the skills to work in a team atmosphere & learn new tasks

 Have the skills & desire to complete all tasks assigned

 Have excellent communication & time management skills

 Have reliable attendance & be able to work overtime/weekends

 Must have good attention to detail
