We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to work at our Washington Township location. The Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic performs all functions pertaining to the repair and maintenance of concrete mixer trucks and heavy-duty equipment.
Pay: $30-$32/HR Depends on Experience
Shift/Schedule: Day Shift, M-F occasional Weekends, 6 am- 6 pm

Responsibilities
The Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic will:
Comply with all safety regulations, policies and record-keeping
Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to gain access to the problem area
Change oil, check and change batteries, and perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery
Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access
Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
Create work orders, schedule maintenance, requisition parts and equipment
Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components
Make recommendations for outside assistance in equipment repair
Meet customer service expectations
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics electrical, and braking systems
Knowledge of driveline to include transmissions, and differentials
Knowledge of steering mechanisms and suspensions
Knowledge of concrete mixer trucks and/or off-road heavy equipment a plus
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment multiple times per day
Experience with computer diagnostic software (i.e. Cummins Insite)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have own tools
CDL license a plus

Qualifications
Automotive diagnostics and repair experience
Proficiency in hydraulics and transmissions
Strong mechanical knowledge and hand tool skills
Ability to perform heavy equipment maintenance
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Familiarity with diesel engines and air brake systems
