Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing and organizing parts and dunnage for daily production operations. Monitors and restocks empty dunnage inventory. Collects and delivers completed dunnage to wrapping area. Handles daily printing, packing, and labeling of outbound products. Ensures FIFO system for incoming products. Performs truck loading and unloading for shipments. Manages recycled materials and waste disposal. Generates shift reports, secures warehouse, and supervises production staff. Collaborates with supply chain team for production scheduling. Enforces safety policies, trains forklift drivers, and assists in warehouse supervision. Maintains quality standards and positive work environment. Supports HR with maintenance tasks. Heavy lifting may be required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize parts and dunnage for each production line according to the daily operations.
Monitor the inventory of empty dunnage and restock as necessary.
Collect completed dunnage and deliver it to the wrapping and strapping area.
Print, pack, and label outbound products daily. Scan incoming products and place them in the appropriate location following the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.
Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Load recycled wood and cardboard onto the designated truck and properly dispose of non-recyclable materials in the designated dumpsters.
Complete shift reports at the end of each day and week.
Ensure warehouse lights are turned off and all doors are locked at the end of each shift.
Monitor production staff and assist the supervisor with disciplinary measures when necessary.
Train new forklift drivers on FIFO and proper rotation of parts in the warehouse.
Assist in supervising the daily operations of the warehouse areas.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast the monthly production schedule.
Ensure all workers adhere to the company's safety policies. Conduct daily/weekly safety discussions with the production team.
Assume the responsibilities of the Production Supervisor during his absence, such as vacation or days off.
Follow all work instructions, maintain quality standards, and comply with safety regulations.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude in the workplace.
Provide assistance in training other employees when required.
Report any building maintenance and repair issues to the Human Resources department. Assist Human Resources in completing building maintenance tasks.
Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 lbs. (45 kg).
Education and Experience:
Associate degree and/or three to five years of relevant warehouse experience
Automotive Manufacturing / Cylinder Liner experience is preferred.
OSHA 30 certification.
Candidate should have experience working with international clients.
