Job Description:
We are looking for a fun, energetic, hard-working DevOps Engineer to join our team in managing our current platform and building new features for Restaurant Marketing. Your overall responsibilities will include the architecture, design, development, security, performance, and support of our software and its deployment lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
Designing infrastructure and automated systems to support massively distributed architecture.
Developing tools to manage configuration and deployment of large server clusters.
Forecasting and planning for the infrastructure needs of a fast-growing SaaS company while optimizing efficiency.
Collaborating with our team to detect, resolve, and enhance infrastructure problems.
Maintaining highly available and redundant web and backend systems that serve thousands of users and handle thousands of requests per second.
Maintaining an already built WordPress Plugin.
Job Qualifications:
Education: BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field experience.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in DevOps or a similar role (preferred).
Proficiency in automated server configuration and deployment tools.
Experience with platform/web security roles and distributed systems.
Strong AWS experience.
Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, NodeJS, jQuery, underscore.js).
Experience working with Facebook Graph API and Twitter API.
Proficient in server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Java with Play Framework, NodeJS with Loopback, Scala with Akka Framework).
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
Strong knowledge of Git.
Understanding of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
General web development background preferred (Java/J2EE, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, Spring, WordPress).
