HVAC Service and Installation Technician

Dearborn HVAC Company is long established, with 32 years serving residential and light commercial customers.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. The successful candidate will be able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, provide customer service, and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

Individual must possess:

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, which will be utilized with customers and office personnel.

Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

Reliable transportation.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, health and background check.

Must have your own tools.

Ability to work 40 plus hours each week. Some weekend work is necessary.

Individual must have these basic job requirements:

2 years of experience in the residential HVAC service and installation.

Be EPA Certified in refrigerant recovery.

Ability to troubleshoot all types of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, perform scheduled preventive maintenance and overhaul of equipment.

Ability to install heating and cooling equipment, duct work, and humidifiers, as well as hot water tanks.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.

Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

Test system performance to ensure optimal operation.

Ability to use company provided electronics, to communicate with our office and customers.

No problem with heights, using a ladder, being on a roof.

No problem standing, sitting, bending and stooping for extended periods.

No problem carrying 100 pounds.

The ability to provide excellent customer service.

The ability to be respectful, courteous and professional.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems.

Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

Test system performance to ensure optimal operation.
