Successful Veteran Owned Transportation Company in Brownstown MI is looking for a Mobile truck/trailer mechanics to fill immediate Full-Time openings to perform trucks and trailer maintenance in the fleet of 300 pieces of equipment. 40+ hours per week working on newer equipment. Diesel Mechanic should have a valid chauffeur’s license required (CDLA Preferred) to drive company equipment, Must be a self started and the maturity to work productively and independently.

2 years of experience in Heavy Duty Truck or Trailer Maintenance Required
Salary: $23.00 to $30.00 /hour. Pay based on experience

This is primarily a mobile position with some inside shop work 80/20
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understanding of how to perform a DOT inspection on either a Heavy Duty Tractor OR Trailer
Understanding of Preventative Maintenance on a Heavy Duty Tractor OR Trailer
Understand of diagnostic software for different types of Heavy Duty Tractors. (Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Road Ranger, ECT)
Understanding of how to properly install Drum Brakes on Heavy Duty Tractor AND Trailer
Understanding of how Manual and Automatic transmissions work
Understanding of how to replace common components on a Heavy Duty Tractor and Trailer. (Water pumps, surge tanks, starters, alternators, ECT)
