Job description:
To fuel company fleet and inspect units for new damage/issues while encouraging sanitation/cleaning of the unit while at the fuel island. Follow safety procedures at all times and wear safety gear when applicable.
Entry level to enter into an apprenticeship with our company
Willing to learn and grow within our company
Experience with servicing different types of vehicles helpful
Activate fuel pumps and fill fuel tanks of company equipment to specified levels
Provide cleaning/sanitation supplies for incoming drivers to fuel island
Ask drivers to remove trash during the fueling process
Perform walk-around inspection of tractors including thumping tires to check inflation, turn signals, rear brake lights and mud flaps. – Note any new damage
Empty all trash cans in the yard during shift
Keep fuel island area clear of debris
Communicate with Supervisors/dispatch/drivers as needed
Follow safety procedures – i.e. wearing safety gear (welding helmet, safety glasses, vest) when needed
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to work in various weather conditions
Preferred Valid chauffeurs license required to drive company equipment
