Our client, a consultant in the fields of civil and environmental engineering fields is looking to add a licensed Land Surveyor to their team!
This person will work in the office as well as in the field. Pay will be based on experience.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for investigation, analysis and the overall data collection and layout of engineering and surveying projects as assigned from pre-schematic phase through construction closeout.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as lead surveyor and provide guidance to Survey Technicians I and II on wide range of projects.
Performs site visits for documentation and cost estimating of existing systems and building conditions.
Coordinates survey layout and drawings with other disciplines.
Performs survey calculations and develops appropriate layout.
Reviews and evaluates surveying and engineering drawings.
Visits construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed.
Mentors Survey Technicians.
Prepares Surveying Notes.
Develops and maintains department standards.
Completes complex and specialty types of surveys.
Participates in a professional organization.
Stays abreast of technical advancements in respective field and disseminates information to staff.
Completes administrative duties as needed.
Additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION GUIDELINES:
Bachelors Degree in Land Surveying with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Professional
Surveying License required. Proficiency in all surveying equipment, AutoCAD, Survey software,
and Data collector programs with working knowledge of applicable codes.
