Shift Supervisor Job Description
This role is an encompassing support position. Must be responsible, well-rounded and team orientated. Availability must include weekends and evening. In this role, you will wear many hats; as Shift Manager you will oversee the entire facility (bar, lanes, kitchen, about 10-15 employees per shift). Must be able to jump in and help where ever needed, think on your feet and make logical decisions.
Previous experience that would be helpful:
Bar/restaurant experience (must have basic liquor knowledge)
Kitchen experience
Managerial/key holder experience
Pinsetting and mechanical inclination
Requirements:
Customer Service is first and foremost on all positions at Galaxy Lanes
Accountable for all shifts you are scheduled
Enforce company policies and procedures with staff and customers
Learn and understand all areas (kitchen, counter, bar, machinery) of the facility, assist in those areas when needed
Understand the safety protocol and policies of all areas, TAM for Bar, Servsafe in the kitchen and machine specific safety guidelines in the bowling machinery
Must be able to follow instructions and complete projects with little supervision
Assist with leagues and their recordkeeping, become familiar with league bowlers and the overall “culture of bowling”
Be present for leagues and events and oversee the execution of them
Become a point of contact for those looking for new leagues or events, organize and schedule them accordingly
Communicate with staff & upper management in a timely and professional manner adhering to company policy
Be aware of inventory in all departments and take action if/when needed to maintain regular sales
Follow through and remain accountable for job duties
