Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Fowler, Michigan. If you are proficient in account coding, accounting software systems, and accounting functions, this role could be a perfect fit for you. Your primary duties will involve transitioning from QuickBooks to NetSuite, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate databases. This role is based on-site and may average around 30 hours to start.Responsibilities: Migrate accounting operations from QuickBooks to NetSuite. Manage and maintain accurate data in various databases. Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) duties. Perform monthly end close tasks. Utilize your skills in accrual accounting to ensure accurate financial records. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Resolve customer inquiries and process applications in a timely manner. Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records. Efficiently process customer credit applications. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks Expertise in various Accounting Functions, particularly Accounts Payable (AP) Strong knowledge of Account Coding and its applications Experience in Accrual Accounting, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle Month End Close processes efficiently and effectively Familiarity with financial regulations and standards related to Accounts Payable Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is an advantage.
