Lead Program Manager

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a Lead Program Manager. This position can be based at the following Eaton locations: Southfield, MI, Galesburg, MI, or Marshal, MI. Relocation assistance is available for candidates currently residing in the United States.The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Position overview: Responsible for the successful execution of the NPD Program(s) and projects and their budget allocation. Lead the Integrated Program Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.Additional responsibilities:

Manages the Lifecycle Financials of the NPD Program(s) and projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.

Execute IPT leadership across the Program. Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Coaches and provides feedback/rewards on performance indicators.

Leads and helps drive the Project Managers assigned to their designated program and gives functional leadership to project managers assigned to the product line’s global projects.

Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.

Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit or Division as a member of the group-level PMO steering committee.

Manage effective customer communications, improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements, and communicates and manages customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.

Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports.

Maintain metrics for program for earned value (CPI/SPI), quality, technical performance and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.

Coordinates all risks and requirements of the program into a complete integrated entity. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all projects into the programs and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.

Works with sales organization to manage customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization and ensures business case alignment through value chain. Collaborates with sales and leadership to establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer. Develop contract negotiation strategies. Ensure effective change management process is utilized.

Provides periodic program updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the business units as well as divisional, and group levels.

Plays a key role in developing New business proposals and executing the overall program plan.

Qualifications:Required Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required

Seven (7+) or more years of experience in Program Management; or a combination of Program Management with some Engineering and/or Product Development Management experience

Experienced with Vehicle New Product Introduction (NPI) programs

Understanding and knowledge of supply chain planning and operations in an automotive production environment

Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university

Experience in Risk Management

Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP)

Skills:

Ability to manage programs with 1) components / subsystems / systems scope of responsibility, 2) Moderate customer business risk, 3) Moderate to high NRE budgets, and 4) High Revenue Growth Program value

Capable of leading effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global Vehicle customers and team members.

Capable of initiating and providing recommendations for Division and Group Senior Leadership Team’s review and approval that will achieve desired customer outcomes

Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer.

Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects and work through ambiguous requirements.
