Job Description For Civil Engineering Field Technician:MUST HAVES:
Experience in documenting construction activities on a project site (construction, civil, environmental, geotechnical)
Understand construction or engineering documents / plans
Experience or willingness to travel for 2-3 months at a time
Independently effective using basic computer technology such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.
NICE TO HAVES:
Onsite experience with field testing or sampling for soil, concrete, or other construction materials
Multiple years of construction experience
Multiple years of traveling experience
The Civil Field Engineering Technician will be responsible for on-site observation and documentation for field inspection and testing of soils and geotechnical liners. Projects include environmental control systems and landfill components for civil construction sites across the United States. They will primarily handle reporting and documentation for the construction material and soil testing and sampling work being done on-site. The Engineering Technician will travel to project sites regularly, for 5 to 8 weeks at a time. Expenses / per diem, hotel, and equipment will all be provided.
