Description:Configuration Center TechnicianPosition Overview:The Configuration Center Technician is responsible for the provisioning and medium complexity configuration of various IT devices (PCs, tablets, printers, etc.) by following written work instructions and quality control documents in support of ongoing or new customer business.Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Follow specific written work instructions to provision, configure, and repair IT devices and otherwise prepare the device for deployment based on customer requirements. Complex kitting of equipment based on customer requirements. Unbox, re-box and process equipment for shipping. Clean, test, and inspect IT devices. Work with immediate Supervisor or Lead to resolve high complexity technical issues encountered during IT device processing. Will be expected to resolve low to medium complexity technical issues encountered during device provisioning and configuration. Participate in internal departmental and project meetings. Offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies. Other duties as assigned.Key Outcomes of the Position: The Configuration Center Technician will consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in work product and customer satisfaction. All daily work must be completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.Skills and Attributes Required: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of service and incident management, testing and quality procedures. General experience with knowledge management tools and process documentation. Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced changing environment. Ability to work independently and to sustain positive relationships with team members, managers, and customers. Team oriented, action oriented, a self-starter with the ability to drive technical issues to completion by following documented procedures or working collaboratively with customers. Organized with a willingness to approach challenges in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities of low complexity. Aptitude to learn various IT disciplines at a moderately complex level.
