Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves overseeing the general management and execution of construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting during the pre-construction phase, including estimating, subcontractor negotiations, and value engineering. During the construction phase, the Project Manager will work closely with the assigned superintendent and construction personnel to ensure the successful physical construction of the project, keeping it on schedule and within budget. Maintaining good communication with clients, client representatives, and internal management throughout the project’s life cycle is essential.Responsibilities
Monitor sub-contractors and vendors
Understand OSHA and MIOSHA standards
Possess strong knowledge in General Trades (carpentry, doors, frames, hardware & millwork installation)
Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
Communicate effectively with Accounting, Estimating, Human Resources, Coordinator, and Management to assure a safe and successful project
Must Have Qualifications
3-6 years of recent commercial construction project management
project experience in the half a million to 5 million dollar range
Understanding of the financials in material and subcontractor selection
Work EnvironmentHours are 8:00am - 4:00pm. The position involves working in the office with travel to job sites as needed. Travel may occasionally include visits to the east side of the state, but this will not be a regular requirement.
