Eaton’s Co-Op Program at our Grand Rapids, MI Aerospace Group Manufacturing Plant is for students pursuing a degree in engineering. We are hiring for Summer 2025 Co-Ops / Interns.The hourly rate for this position is $19.38 - $31.73 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Eaton’s Co-Op Program at our Grand Rapids, MI Aerospace Group Manufacturing Plant is for students pursuing a degree in engineering. We are hiring for Summer 2025 Co-Ops / Interns.The objective of this program is to develop your technical skills in engineering through a practical experience and assist in your personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking, and coaching.  During the time you will provide engineering services to support the operations of our dynamic and exciting Aerospace business through an assignment in one of the following departments, based upon your interest and business need:  Test Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.A brief description for each of these possible assignments follows:Test EngineeringIn this assignment, you will be responsible for developing test plans, specifications, and general test procedures for requalification activities. You will coordinate requalification testing, work with technicians during test setup, evaluate test results, and develop test reports. You will also design and develop new test equipment for verification testing and create and release engineering drawings and schematics.Sustaining EngineeringIn this assignment, you will be responsible for Drive product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign, and testing. Sustain product viability through proactive evaluation and redesign of hardware with obsolete components. Participate in formal root cause and corrective action activities on production processes and design problems. Coordinate with internal and external customers to execute solutions to drive cost out initiatives.Manufacturing EngineeringIn this assignment, you will be responsible for our manufacturing processes including equipment specification, tooling design, visual controls, process standardization, and poka-yokes / fixture design for ergonomic, quality and efficiency improvements. You will collect and analyze manufacturing data and implement process improvements that advance safety, product quality, and gross utilization. Additionally, you will utilize Lean tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, decreased inventory, and improved productivity. You may lead and/or participate in Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), drive sustainment, and coordinate structured closure on follow-up activities.All assignments may have additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s degree program in engineering at an accredited institution.

Must have a combined GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round).

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a continual permanent basis.

Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI.
