This includes assessment of the patient and learning needs, barriers to learning, preferred learning styles and educational level of the patient.  Provides education on therapeutic diets, eating disorders, and healthy nutrition to patients based on the patients needs and provider consults. Establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs that lead to optimal clinical nutrition and positive financial outcomes. Comply with regulatory standards – both Federal and State and accrediting agencies adhering to confidentiality, Joint Commission re, HIPPA regulations, policies, and CMS regulations. Collaborate with IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) to provide quality nutrition and culinary programs. Supports quality assurance initiatives in the kitchen. Proficient computer skills.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally. Required to provide weekend and holiday coverage either on site and/or remote coverage to provide consistent nutrition care to patients.Identifies with and adheres to the code of ethics for the dietetics profession.
