We at Paint N Simple are a small group of young men working to improve customers lives through painting. Our team consists of three friends that met in high school, but as business continues to grow, we are excited for the opportunity to add more hands to our crew. We know these hands will come with new personalities, perspectives, and ideas; which we intend to support in a growth oriented work environment.
As a part of the Paint N Simple team, you will be expected to assist in the interior and exterior painting processes which include, but are not limited to: painting with roller, brush, and sprayer; spending time on elevated surfaces such as ladders, roofs, and scaffolding; and extended periods in the summer heat and physically demanding activity. This position requires you to be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds above your head. You will also be expected to safely operate inherently dangerous equipment and tools such as power washers, drills, and power sanders. In the pursuit of customer satisfaction, we often find ourselves delving into other contracting fields such as carpentry, drywall work, and pre-renovation demolition; any previous knowledge of these fields and associated equipment is desirable. We are more than willing to train individuals in these fields, and anticipate doing so.
Candidates for this job must take pride in their work, maintain attention to detail, and desire to go above and beyond for the customer. At Paint N Simple, we always strive for perfection and expect our future employees to carry that same attitude. In addition, our contractors must be coachable, must be able to maintain professional relations with both coworkers and customers, and must maintain a positive outlook on their work.
Paint N Simple currently only contracts persons operating under their own DBA and issues payments based on a 1099 independent contractor tax form. To any individuals interested in this listing that do not currently operate under their own DBA, we are more than willing to provide instruction and required forms to complete. The cost to create a DBA with the state of Michigan is $10.
Hours are variable, but work day start times are typically 8:30 am, and you should expect to work 40+ hour work weeks during spring, summer, and fall operating seasons. You will be expected to arrange reliable transportation to and from job sites. All equipment will be provided.
