Junior Photographer
GreaterGoods ecommerce stores feature thousands of products, each of which helps fund a charitable cause supporting people, animals, or the planet, at no extra cost to the customer. Our photo team is at the creative core of GreaterGoods ecommerce marketing efforts. We currently seek a Junior Photographer to join our team and help provide amazing ecommerce photographs and videos for use as store content, on social media, in web advertising and email marketing.

This is an entry level full-time position located in Allendale, Michigan, reporting to our Graphics Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
Proficiency in studio lighting, model direction, post-production processes, and industry standard best practices.
Manage workload to promptly meet requests for incoming products needing photography. This could include
20+ products per day, each needing a variety of images.
Must be a self-starter and comfortable with a varying workload while maintaining internal image standards.
Set up camera equipment, lighting, and the best layout for each photograph.
Must keep a clean environment to minimize dust and dirt. Maintain cleanliness and organization of product
staging rooms, as well as storage areas for props, sets, and equipment. Help prepare studio spaces for upcoming
work.
Review product images for quality, color, and lighting and adjust as needed.
Collaborate with fellow photo team members and graphic designers in developing creative plans.
Help other photo team members when needed, from navigating the warehouse shelves to find needed products.
Candidate should be able to professionally receive and execute creative direction and feedback.
Help prepare products so they are ready for photography. Steam, polish, de-linting etc. each item as needed so
they are ready for photography.
Assist other photographers and stylists as needed during shoots.
Participate in idea generation for improvements to photography, graphics, e-commerce, and marketing.
Troubleshoot, address problems and handle other duties as assigned.
Must be able to drive on occasion to scout locations, get needed materials, or assist at an off-site shoot.
Required to be on-site/location on time daily.
On occasion, assist other teams in the company as needed, including our warehouse staff.
Required Qualifications:
Four-year degree in photography, design, or a marketing-related field or 1 - 2+ years related professional
photography experience. Both is a plus.
Familiarity using digital cameras with manual controls, as well as accessories, such as lenses, tripods, filters,
etc.
A strong creative eye and attention to detail.
Proficient in Adobe Creative suite (Lightbox, Photoshop, Bridge). Experience with image manipulation & color
correction is a plus.
Able to master new software quickly. Proficiency with Mac platform.
Excellent follow-through, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to problem solve independently and achieve success with minimal guidance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively across teams and with
all team members.
Positive attitude and good sense of humor.
Experience in marketing or advertising platforms a plus.
Must have a valid driver license.

IMPORTANT: Professional photography experience is less important than a quality portfolio. If you do not have a strong online portfolio highlighting your ability to photograph PRODUCTS (i.e. apparel, jewelry, bags, home decor, and other items representative of our stores) or models, do not apply until you have put one together you will not be considered. This position will require you to shoot a dozen or more products per day using mostly the props available at hand, so it should only take an afternoon to put a portfolio together for consideration.
