Position Description: ARC seeks professional, ambitious, and detail-oriented candidates to step into this role. A successful candidate will take pride in their workmanship, work well with others, is a quick learner, and is a team player. This position is a contracted position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Applies safety standards for use of sprayers, ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other painting tools
Complies with safety regulations on each job site
Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include priming, sanding between coats, prior to final application
Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
Covers and protects areas not to be painted
Maintains clean work area daily
Willingness to work as part of a team and take directions
Required Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of room finish schedules according to blueprint
Ability to listen, understand, focus, and follow directions
Attention to detail
Verbal communication skills
Reliable attendance; ability to work weekends if necessary
Pass a drug test
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending
Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
Must be able to lift five gallon buckets at times
Must be able to distinguish among colors and sheens
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
5 years of commercial painting experience required
