Duties:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across all makes and models.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs and parts.
- Collaborate with service advisors to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Use a combination of your tools and shop-supplied diagnostic equipment to repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep accurate records of all services performed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
- Michigan State Certified.
- At least five years of proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician.
- A steady and reliable work history; this role isn’t a fit for frequent job-changers.
- A positive attitude with a pride in your work.
- ASE Certifications preferred. You’ll be expected to get and maintain ASE certification and work towards becoming an ASE Master if not already achieved.
- Own tools required for performing repairs (scan tools and specialty tools provided).
- Strong knowledge of various makes, models, and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable commute or plans to relocate to Ada, MI 49301.
