I am an owner operator with a few trucks and my own authority. They are not leased on to anyone. We take home time when we want for as long as we want as long as the truck averages 7500 miles a month. Pay will be 40 to 50 cents per mile based on how you drive and your experience. We typically run east of the Rockies in the summer and east of the Mississippi in the winter. I don't mind some parts of the far east (New Jersey or Maine) but it is not required. You kind of get to pick were you want to go. I also stay south of Nashville in the winter out of the bad weather but that is my personal choice.
The one seat I have open is a 2014 Prostar, ISX15, 13 speed. Van or reefer trailer is available, but most people choose the van. The van is air slide and has an inflation setup so you donât have to fight sliding the tandems.
If this type of work interests you over being at a large company than give me a call. I have no shortage of work. If you can log it you can run it.
I would also be interested in leasing on a few owner operators with or without their own trailers. We are currently averaging $2.23 per mile on all miles and you would get a percentage of that (70 to 80%). If I could get a few more trucks under my MC then I could start getting a shipper or two to haul for. That might make us all more money, but it takes time and good drivers that stick around.
