Collections Specialist

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Collections Specialist will be instrumental in managing customer credit files, following up on outstanding invoices via email and phone calls, helping with payment plans, and minimizing outstanding debts. Responsibilities: Handle the management of customer credit files with precision and efficiency. Engage in the tracking and monitoring of outstanding customer debts, collaborating with sales teams to resolve payment issues. Implement collection strategies and procedures aimed at reducing accounts receivable delinquency. Oversee all billing disputes and liaise with customers to negotiate payment plans when necessary. Utilize accounting software systems to manage financial transactions and maintain records. Assist with other credit and collections tasks as directed, including answering inbound calls and administering claim processes. Maintain high-quality customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly. Perform billing functions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Exhibit strong communication skills in dealing with clients and team members.
