With our product portfolio, dedication to quality, global reach, entrepreneurial setting and competitive strength, we're at a great place to build a lasting career.Tenneco is seeking a drives, self-motivatedFinance and/or Accountingfocused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Clean Air Technical Center located in Grass Lake, Michigan.As a TennecoSummerFinanceIntern, you will be given the opportunity to learn about your chosen career field through hands-on work, management shadowing opportunities, and training events, among other responsibilities that support the Finance department.Possible responsibilities include:
Test plant controls
Electronic scanning and filing of sales orders and accounts payable documentation
Sorting the daily mail and matching invoices to packing slips
Accounts payable and sales billing data entry
REQUIREMENTS:Required of an Intern:
Must be able to travel throughout the term of the internship
Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period starting May 2020
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business (with a focus in accounting or finance) from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Studen with SAP experience
