DescriptionAccounts Receivable ClerkAccountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk. If you're interested in work where you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, you will succeed in this Accounts Receivable Clerk position. This Accounts Receivable Clerk position, will handle more than 200+ invoices a week. Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
Verify codes and documents
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers
Requirements
Proficiency in Debit Credit
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge of debits
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
Skilled with ERP systems
Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Microsoft Excel skills in particular
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
