Description We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Holland, Ohio. In this role, you will be instrumental in our Accounting and Finance operations, providing essential services in the production and maintenance of financial data. This role is critical to supporting our growth and manufacturing plans by delivering timely and accurate information.Responsibilities: Generate and input General Ledger Journal Entries Produce financial statements and inventory metric reports on a monthly basis Collaborate with the CFO and other organizational units to review, calculate, and implement necessary changes to standard costs for materials and production Work closely with the Accounting and Finance department, and other areas of the organization as needed, for cost and variance evaluation and solutions Assist with physical inventory activities at other facilities Review and resolve manufacturing and margin expectation variances in a team-oriented manner Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other accounting software to manage accounting functions and cash activities Conduct month-end close processes and manage accounts payable. Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting or similar role. Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Demonstrable knowledge of accounting functions and principles. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Cash Activity. Familiarity with Standard Cost Accounting methods. Ability to perform Month End Close procedures effectively. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity. Understanding of data privacy standards and regulations. Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports. Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) would be advantageous. Demonstrable ability to comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
