Quality/Lab Manager

Kelly Science is seeking a Quality Manager to join a growing company located in Kalamazoo, MI.Salary: $110,000-120,000/yearShift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmEmployment Type: Full Time; Direct HireJob Duties Include:

Overseeing laboratory day-to-day operations and providing direction to laboratory technicians in day-to-day activities.

Managing the sites AS-9100/QMS in adherence to company guidelines.

Provide technical support to troubleshoot production processes in terms in quality performance.

Design and implement quality improvements

Develop and implement corrective actions to customer complaints using Root-Cause-Analysis techniques.

Monitor and track quality metrics while identifying areas of improvement and closing quality gaps.

High involvement with customers to determine requirements, answer questions, and get feedback.

High involvement with equipment and raw materials suppliers to solve existing problems and improve product quality.

Participate in incident investigations and implementing corrective actions learned from the investigation process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or a related scientific field.

3-5 years of technical experience utilizing GC, MFI, and other polymer processing laboratory equipment.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001. Experience with AS-9100 is a huge plus.

Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a small team.
