Aeration Technician – Full Time
About the role
Join our Lawn Doctor team serving the Kalamazoo and Portage area. You will perform core aeration and liquid aeration on residential and light commercial lawns, coordinate with overseeding jobs, and talk with customers about aftercare. We will train you on equipment and safety. If you enjoy outdoor work and take pride in clean, careful service, this is for you.
What you will do
Operate walk-behind and tow-behind aerators safely and efficiently
Perform call ahead to customers to inform them
Identify irrigation heads, invisible fence lines, and shallow utilities before work
Make clean passes, avoid tight turns, and protect hardscapes and edges
Coordinate timing with overseeding jobs and explain watering and mowing guidelines
Load, unload, and maintain aeration equipment and tools
Record services, photos, and notes in the mobile app and speak with customers as needed
What you bring
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable working outdoors in warm, cool, and light wet conditions
Able to lift 50 pounds and handle powered equipment throughout the day
Good communication, attention to detail, and respect for customer property
Lawn care or equipment experience is a plus. We will train the right person
Pay and schedule
Hourly pay with overtime after 40 hours
Full time Monday to Friday with an occasional Saturday during peak season
Peak work in spring and fall with steady year-round projects and training
