Allied Mechanical Services Inc is seeking Plumbers/Pipefitters in Kalamazoo!
Stand hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, but can vary depending upon project! (Some of our projects CAN be 4 10/hr shifts per week!)
Compensation varies based on experience and license! The hourly range is $30-$38/hr! (plus extremely competitive benefits (health insurance, profit sharing, 401k match, free dental, PTO, etc)

Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Plumbers/Pipefitters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plumbing and pipefitting, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This role involves working on a variety of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and piping systems, including water, gas, steam, and waste systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
Perform pipe fabrication, welding, and brazing as needed for project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, other trades, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plumbing and piping systems efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Valid Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter license (preferred; higher pay with licensure).
5 years of plumbing/pipefitting experience; 8-10 years preferred for senior-level consideration.
Proficiency in installing and servicing commercial and industrial plumbing/piping systems.
Strong knowledge of local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Work Schedule:
Standard field hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Schedule may occasionally shift to four 10-hour days or vary slightly based on project demands.
Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Compensation:
$30/hour with 5 years of plumbing experience.
$32/hour with a valid plumbing license.
$36-$38/hour for candidates with 8-10 years of experience.
