Receives and dispenses supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning, assembling and preparation duties in central sterile processing as directed. Responsible for distribution, tracking, picking up and cleaning all durable medical equipment in inventory. Acquires and tracks rental equipment as needed.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs daily rounds including delivery of medical equipment.
Tracks and reports on equipment utilization including rental equipment.
Provides equipment support including pick-up and return of broken and repaired equipment.
Maintains supply inventory for equipment support as well as proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
Performs decontamination and/or sorting of soiled instruments, sterilization containers and equipment according to established protocols.
Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Maintains effective documentation standards.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Services Materials Management) certification.
Six months of prior work experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
