Job SummaryTheDirector of ASG Presales Engineering will lead and develop a team of Presales Engineers, Architects, and managers within ASG as well as drive the growth of SHI’s solution practice business. The Director will develop the team using customer account planning initiatives, hands-on training, leading by example, and building strong relationships. This individual will understand and identify customer needs and collaborate with sales teams, sales leadership, and the larger Advanced Solutions Group to increase company share in the solutions practice business.This position is a remote position with a home Office setup as determined by SHI management.About UsSince 1989, SHI International Corp. has helped organizations change the world through technology. ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:   

Use company solution practices to provide value to our customers by establishing strong relationships and continually looking to improve how we work together.

Coach and develop pre-sales engineers and architects in areas of pipeline development, solution-based selling mindset, a trusted advisor approach, and overall team collaboration.

Drive the sales process of the solution, including identifying the opportunity, qualifying, forecasting, decision-making criteria, and closing.

Engage the Local Technology Community (MFGs and SI Partners) and the appropriate customer technical personnel to establish market credibility.

Strategically train sales teams on the positioning of company solution practices, ensuring they understand customers' ongoing enterprise needs.

Monitor employee performance and attendance records, act on performance issues in a fair and consistent manner by providing actionable feedback, and drive employee recognition.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

3+ years managing a Pre-Sales Technical Engineering team

5+ years of experience working with complex Data Center, Cloud, Collaboration, Security, and Network sales opportunities

Management/Leadership Skills

Outstanding written and verbal communication

Experience working in complex enterprise architecture sales opportunities

Advanced knowledge of enterprise architectures and their business impact

Deep understanding and experience working with enterprise technology manufacturers/partners and knowledge of the IT competitive landscape

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Visio/PPT and delivering customer proposals

Strong documentation skills to include system/network diagrams and presentations

Unique Requirements

Travelup to 40% for customer meetings, internal meetings, conferences,etc.

Extended hours arerequiredto complete some special projects.

Additional Information

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $220,000 - $270,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
