Job DescriptionThe Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/HIrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.This position will serve as a senior level business analyst supporting the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). This position will support the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Public Health Administration. This position will serve as a technical consultant to MDHHS clients to develop solutions for streamlining critical business processes according to MDHHS’ strategic plan. This position is integral to developing and maintaining MDHHS’ automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, and securing MDHHS systems. Position performs as an information technology professional participating in a variety of analytical assignments that provide for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation information systems. This position will be responsible for leading application development responsibilities during all phases of the software development lifecycle. This position will be responsible for checking the work of project team members, including state employees and contractors, and providing guidance and mentoring to less senior analysts.Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week. SIGNING BONUS:This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period).
