Manager, Analytics & Strategic Initiatives - CLO

Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for the implementation, training, and development of the specialty corporate trust team focused on the analytics of the CLO product. This role will lead and provide direction to an assigned team in addition to working closely with the senior leader of CLO Product Management & Administration and other senior leaders in the business. This involves a strategic blend of in-depth data analysis and innovative process design; aiming to elevate efficiency and accuracy in our CLO group.

Utilization of leading-edge platforms for analysis and output model development for structured products for validation of data quality, cashflows, and compliance testing.

Creation and implementation of proprietary software to manage the modeling of all aspects of the loan database platform in connection with key client relationships & transactions to ensure high quality fiduciary services.

Development and maintenance of robust reporting systems to provide insightful analytics, supporting decision-making, and fulfil client reporting needs.

Collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven automation into existing systems, with a focus on enhancing internal platforms.

Collaboration with internal teams to integrate machine learning capabilities into our existing systems.

Contribute to the group's strategic planning by identifying opportunities for data-driven solutions to address complex challenges that align with business goals.

Stay abreast of industry trends and technological innovations to recommend and implement relevant solutions.

Review legal documents to ensure all data and operational mechanics are appropriate.

Resolve all data & operational issues and provide support to all members of the CLO team in addition to all levels of external customers & parties.

Ensure accuracy of all data components related to a transaction including the sourcing of information from external market data providers, resolving data discrepancies with third parties, and investigating various discrepancies on internal platforms.

Provide guidance to junior staff.

Interview, hire, and train new team members with support from upper management and team members.

Track workload for the team and coordinate team support.

Lead one-on-one and team meetings with direct reports.

Coordinate guidelines and procedures for direct team.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & SkillsMINIMUM:

Extensive experience in data analysis and STP process improvement.

Knowledge of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) and related structured financial instruments.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.

Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Strong background in data analytics, machine learning, and their application in financial services.

Demonstrates ability to provide positive client experience through a variety of methods including associate engagement, technology, workflows, and processing.

Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.

PREFERRED:

Proven skills with: SQL/Visual Basic/Asp.net/Python

Machine learning experience.

RequirementsMINIMUM :

Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus (computer science/ engineering/math) or equivalent work experience

Ten (10) + years relevant experience in the CLO industry

PREFERRED :

Relevant professional certifications

Master's Degree

Work Environment:Typical office environment. Potential for minimal travel.Supervision/Management:Supervise a team of junior staff including hiring, performance management, and accurate performance of duties.Compensation Range:Minimum: $99,750.00 - Maximum: $257,250.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
