My mother is recovering from a broken ankle and needs help during the month of May. She is in her 70's, and her energy and mobility are also limited by chronic fatigue syndrome and leg swelling. She was living independently up until now, so she is generally pretty able. She has already regained the ability to get up from bed and chairs, walk from room to room, and use the toilet on her own.
We would consider EITHER a live-in caregiver OR someone who can come to her home around 12-6 p.m. every day (lunch through dinner). We'd be looking for help with meal preparation, laundry and light cleaning, and some personal care. An ideal candidate would be someone she's comfortable with, strong enough to help her get up if needed, basic CPR & first aid knowledge, and someone who can be very careful about coronavirus precautions.
We are offering $600 per week for 40 hours of visiting care, or that same amount plus free room and board for live-in care (comfortable and private bedroom/bathroom available, plus a kitchenette and large living area). We'd like to start with a one month contract and then evaluate whether some help is still needed after that.
