Friedland Industries, Inc. Is looking to fill a general laborer position.
We are scrap metal and fiber processors located in the heart of Lansing's Old Town for over 135 years. We are a union shop, offering full benefits and 401k contribution.
The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, a safety-first mindset, and willingness to work and learn. with the nature of our business, material flow changes happen rapidly, and so does the work involved. New additions of equipment in the future may lead to quick advancement for the right candidate.
This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Sorting metals
Helping the baler & shredder crews
Cleaning
Operating wire strippers & alligator shears
Assisting in the metals yard
