Description We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst and Technical Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Livonia, Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various SEC filings, performing technical accounting research, and effectively communicating with internal partners to gather financial information. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure financial reporting processes comply with company policy, US GAAP, and SEC requirements Assist in the preparation of the quarterly Form 10-Q’s and annual Form 10-K and related analyses Conduct technical accounting research, draft accounting memos, and author accounting policies Develop and lead training sessions with key individuals within our businesses Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and related procedures including drafting new policies Communicate effectively across the enterprise with our internal partners to gather financial information required Support domestic and international locations on accounting and reporting matters Work directly with internal and external auditors to provide analysis and any required audit documentation vital for the successful completion of any audit Support other projects as assigned that we are engaged in to support the business.Requirements Possess in-depth knowledge of SEC Reporting, SEC filings, and SEC Financial Reporting. Demonstrated experience with Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. Familiarity with Form 10-K and Form 10-Q. Proven track record as a Director or Manager in Financial Reporting. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to oversee the preparation of financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and implement financial policies. Proficiency in using financial software and databases. Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Relevant certifications such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are highly desirable. Proven track record in working with cross-functional teams and managing staff. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
