Unique Cement Construction, Inc., located in Macomb, Michigan, is seeking 5 temporary full-time construction laborers. Unique Cement Construction, Inc. has been designing and building beautiful decorative concrete projects for over 30 years. The job will include worksites in Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne counties. In order to perform the job duties, travel is required to various worksites daily whether at private residences or commercial properties. The worker will be required to arrive at the place of employment in Macomb, Michigan. Unique Cement Construction, Inc. will provide transportation to the worksites and all the necessary tools, equipment and supplies without charge or deposit.Unique Cement Construction, Inc. will also provide on-the-job training.The work hours will be from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday Friday; 45 hours. If there are more than 40 hours worked in a week, he or she will be paid time-and-a-half for all hours worked more than 40 hours. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The worker will be paid weekly, and Unique Cement Construction, Inc. will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The job position is for temporary need starting April 1, 2025 and ending October 31, 2025. Unique Cement Construction, Inc. will make all appropriate deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law and will not intend to withhold any deductions that are not required by law.RESPONSIBILITIES:Our construction laborers perform the following duties:Prepare job sites including digging trenches and cleaning up debris. Load and unload materials and tools. Position wood forms or molds for the pouring of concrete using hammers, nails and bolts. Operation of jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement. Assist cement workers with various tasks such as mixing, pouring or spreading concrete. Clean job site and equipment.
