Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Training would take place Monday through Friday for the first three months. Some weekend coverage will be required occasionally after training.We are seeking a Sample Coordinator I for our Sample Management department at our Mattawan, MI location.Duties of a Sample Coordinator I include but are not limited to:
Efficiently perform and document all procedures, materials, and results in compliance with applicable regulatory standards as applicable (protocols, methods, SOPs, etc.
Uphold archive security procedures and maintain the integrity of archived materials, as applicable to trained functions.
Develop effective communication skills through informal discussions with peers, supervisor, and team
Develop critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills aligned with needs of operational area
Performs disposition of general laboratory expired reagents/solutions, with oversight.
Perform laboratory support functions such as labeling/verification and receiving/login supplies with oversight
Assists with maintaining department inventory of laboratory consumables with oversight
Participate in process improvement initiatives with oversight as needed
Ensure laboratory waste is properly disposed of to designated areas
Manage receipt and maintenance of test materials and laboratory consumables
Job Qualifications Qualifications (Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities required to accomplish the essential functions) include but are not limited to:
HS/GED/Associate's degree or equivalent experience. No previous experience required
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system
Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice
Ability to work under specific time constraints
In addition:
Be required to stand and walk and be on your feet for most of the day
Be required to constantly push heavy carts and be able to lift at least 50 pounds
