Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Plastics Manufacturing industry. Located in MENDON, Michigan, this role involves overseeing and executing essential accounting functions, maintaining a thorough understanding of our financial systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Performing payroll functions and ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll tax calculations. Utilizing ERP/MRP Software Applications for various accounting tasks. Processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring adherence to departmental procedures. Verifying AP and AR accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Assisting with quarter and year-end payroll processes and reporting, including benefit plan audits and 5500 census reporting. Preparing necessary documents to produce financial statements, periodic reports, and year-end audit work papers. Participating in annual physical inventory process and developing an understanding of company banking policies and procedures. Developing detailed knowledge of data/information flow through ERP system. Managing incoming AP invoice emails and preparing documents to set up new suppliers and customers in ERP system. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor in a plastics manufacturing industry Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems Experience in using ADP - Financial Services for accounting purposes Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP solutions Capable of overseeing all accounting functions within a company Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge and skills in auditing procedures and practices Capable of handling billing functions efficiently Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Proven leadership and management abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Familiarity with industry regulations and guidelines.
