Fundamental to our culture is an unwavering focus on values, dedication to our communities, and commitment to excellence in everything we do.This position is temporary and part time.The Procurement Representative is responsible for the purchasing of non-production (MRO) material to support manufacturing of both the AVDS-1790 engine and the HMPT transmission, overhead, plant and equipment activities. Procurement Representative will prepare RFQ’s based on system signals from NP Stores and Manual Requisitions and make buying decisions based on supplier responses and L3 requirements. Procurement Representative supports production operations by ensuring prompt delivery of non-production material, supplies and services. Along with the management of the parts, the buyer is also responsible for negotiating pricing, handling quality issues, returning parts for repair/replacement, and obtaining quotes. Items procured must be of suitable quality and sufficient quantity, secured at the best price (value) and available to production operations when needed.Additionally, the Procurement Rep. will:- Implement and monitor cost savings initiatives.- Review applicable customer defined specifications with appropriate technical representatives.- RFQ/RFP preparation; Evaluate bids from suppliers and recommend procurement sources.- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers; issue and maintain purchase order.- Be responsible for procurement administration and actions in support of Division and customer requirements.- Work with supplier quality on various commodity teams.- Responsible for supplier returns and net planning demand in ERP system.- Interface with multiple internal/external customers.- Facilitate bid review meetings for capital equipment and overhead service purchases.- Participate in continuous improvement process for procurement.- Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.About L3Harris TechnologiesL3Harris Technologies is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs. L3Harris.comQualificationsQualifications:Enrolled in/working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or Finance.Minimum 1 summer internship procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum 1 summer internship experience analyzing raw material requirements from MRP or similar system.Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational abilities.Ability to manage numerous projects/purchase orders.Ability to manage suppliers.Experience in contractual aspects of procurement.Knowledge and experience with MS Office, data entry and basic office skills.Experience using SAP ARIBA.L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
