Trucking Safety Manager (Coopersville)

Looking for a full-time someone to do a multitude of trucking management tasks and help out in a safety department. There's work to do in a few areas and we're not really sure where the right person might take us and what this might lead to.
We know that we'd like a backup person for our driver qualifications paperwork. There's lots of regulation in trucking and there's lots of paperwork. It all has to be correct. We need someone to assist in this area. Be it with students new to trucking or 30 year veterans, properly completed regulatory paperwork is essential to staying in business.This position would probably involve tracking down drivers and keeping their qualifications current.
Orientation - every new driver must go through orientation. We test our drivers. Helping keep the onboarding process flowing would be part of the responsibilities for this person.
Working drivers produce logs. Logs need to be audited. This is another possible task, assisting in our log department. Answering calls and fixing mistakes that happen with Elogs is a real possibility.
You need to be polite, motivated, detail-oriented, and like people. An understanding of the trucking industry is necessary. So is a basic understanding of the Hours of Service regulations. Having a CDL-A would be helpful but isn't really necessary. Skill with a computer, email, Microsoft Word & Excel are very important.
