We own an interest in or operate approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 141 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products. We have a growing Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) business focused on landfill gas production.We believe that fuels with a lower-carbon lifecycle, like RNG, are part of the solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With our more than 70,000 miles of natural gas pipeline systems that transport approximately 40% of the natural gas consumed and exported in the United States, we are uniquely positioned to transport RNG from coast-to-coast without making enhancements to our existing natural gas pipeline network.This position is responsible for:
Overall daily operations of a facility that uses landfill gas to fuel and operate Caterpillar Engines which generate electricity for the local grid.
The Ops Specialist will be required to operate and maintain the engines, generator, and auxiliary equipment.
Position RequirementsAdditional Essential duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
Oversee/inspect the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
Measures (by reading gauges, screens, etc.) and records inlet gas flows, power produced, and other parameters
Operates gas engines, pumps, blowers and other related equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance items on related equipment
Performs minor repairs and major repairs with assistance from others on engines and other related equipment.
Takes callouts and responds in a timely manner.
Assists other company personnel as needed.
Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork for all activities performed.
Reports all downtime as required.

Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
Knowledge of and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high pressure systems.
Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software if applicable)
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
Problem solving skills, including logical thought process, with the ability to resolve simple to complex issues.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory.

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical ability to repeatedly lift as much as 50 lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb stairs/ladders.
Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included.
Ability to work in and withstand extreme weather conditions.
Respond to/address callouts and emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Will be required to carry a company-provided cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
Must live within a 30-minute response/travel time to work location
Overtime may be required and is anticipated.
Education and/or Experience:
High School degree or equivalent.
2+ years experience in one or more of the following: landfill gas processing, industrial engine mechanic, industrial gas operations, or power plant operations.
