Rove Estate Assistant Vineyard Manager
Rove Estate is looking for a hard-working individual with passion for viticulture and willingness to grow with us as a company.
Requirements:
- strong work ethic and ability to lead by example
- Flexible and willing to work long hours including nights and weekends
- Self-starter, 100% ownership of responsibilities
- Mechanically inclined: able to maintain farm equipment and perform regular maintenance
- Ability to perform with efficacy in inclement weather
- Be in strong physical condition in order to perform: Pruning, harvesting, lifting, operating machinery, fixing and fabricating machinery and all other farm duties.
- Maintain spray record keeping and other records in orderly manner.
- Obtain Pesticide Applicators License
- Be organized and diligent
- Able to work with migrant workers and maintain leadership with positive interaction and motivation skills
- Network and learn from others in industry.
- Constantly looking to improve farm efficiency of labor, chemical, fertilizer and overall costs.
- A team player involved and interested in wine.
- Communicate daily with manager keeping operational decisions transparent
- Use objective data and facts to make decisions.
- Interact with tasting room team, presenting positive energy and learning environment.
- Willingness to grow and long-term aspirations to be in wine industry, specifically viticulture.
- Prior viticulture education is preferred but not required
- 2 years Farm experience is required

This person will lead by example and work hard with manager to ensure that all vineyard operations run smoothly and efficiently, understanding the importance of both leadership and teamwork.
