JOB OBJECTIVE
TO SUPPORT ALL FARMING AND TRUCKING OPERATIONS THROUGH PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, GOOD REPAIRS, AND OTHER FARM JOB FUNCTIONS.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain shop to be able to repair and maintain a fleet of semis, trailers, tractors, farm sprayers, trucks, hilos, and other farm equipment
In field repair, welding, other assistance
Service all equipment on a yearly basis and develop a maintenance program and log
Repair OTR semis and trailers on an as-needed basis
Repair and maintain cherry harvesting equipment
Assist with worker housing upkeep
Some orchard work as needed like spraying, running a cherry harvester, or a truck
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities for Diesel and Gasoline maintenance
High School or GED; Some College or Technical School
Basic welding, hydraulic, electrical, and other knowledge
PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong Ability to work with / collaborate with team members, and positively represent the organization within the community. Must have patience; good communication skills; some math, reading and writing skills; as well as excellent telephone etiquette.
