Ritsema Associates is seeking a driven and experienced Travel Foreman to lead multiple construction projects throughout Northern Michigan. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Job Site Management: Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities to ensure project completion within schedule and budget. This includes planning work sequences, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress.
Team Supervision: Lead and manage construction crews, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring high performance. Address any issues or conflicts that arise among team members.
Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications. Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deficiencies.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Communication: Interface with General Contractors, Superintendents, Project Managers, and clients to relay information, provide updates, and address concerns. Maintain clear and concise communication channels.
Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and tools on-site, ensuring availability and proper usage. Track inventory and order supplies as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, production reports, and any incidents. Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed appropriately.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality. Develop effective solutions to unforeseen challenges.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience as Foreman or Site Superintendent in Commercial Interior Construction
Drywall, framing, ceilings, and firestopping skills and knowledge
Bonus if you have EIFS/DEFS and Plaster experience
Proficiency in reading blueprints and project specifications.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Dependability, professionalism, and safety awareness.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS (will be provided)
OSHA 30 Hour
First Aid / CPR
Hilti Power Actuated Tools
Aerial Lift Operator
REQUIREMENTS
Prequalifications
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Must be able to pass a background check.
This position requires employees to provide, maintain and replace their own hand tools. Power tools, Safety equipment, and all types of scaffold/lifts are provided by employer.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly and perform tasks that involve bending, climbing, and twisting.
Travel Requirements
This position involves daily travel within Northern Michigan
Must have valid driver’s license
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to manage 3 or more job sites simultaneously, located 30 minutes or greater apart.
