Job Description
Bluestem Farm in East Jordan, MI is looking for farm workers to help with the big harvest and fall-related tasks. The majority of the work is outdoors, but we provide masks and personal protective equipment whenever we need to work indoors.
Hand-harvesting vegetables in the morning hours
Sowing, transplanting, and weeding organic vegetables
Washing and packaging vegetables for sale
Field-related tasks like moving irrigation and garden clean-up
Preparing hoophosues for winter
Qualifications
Consistently strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
Very consistent positive attitude
Love of working outdoors despite physical demands and all types of weather
Hours & Compensation
Full time and part time work through October, possibly later
$11-13/hr
About Bluestem Farm
Bluestem Farm is a four-season diversified organic farm. We offer winter and summer build-your-own subscription box programs, grow certified organic vegetables, and practice managed intensive rotational grazing with chickens and pigs. With 80 acres of gardens, woods, and pastures, Bluestem Farm’s focus is our CSA program. Market sales, wholesale clients, and value-added products are also part of what we do.
