THM Michigan currently has several openings for Heat Shrink Operators. In this role, you will be responsible to process parts through the heat shrink process.
Hours: Day shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:30am-3:00pm
Essential Functions:
Applies PTFE on blades to the correct length without damage to the silicone coating.
Completes daily labor/log sheets.
Applies tip and shank protectors.
Understands the use and proper care of calipers.
Operates scales for weighing product.
Bags and heats sealing product.
Operates conveyor oven, with supervision.
Operates Highpot test equipment, with supervision.
Operates PTFE pull test device and properly documents results.
Verifies material log sheets for component P/N's and control/lot numbers.
Obtains work instructions and PISH and when to reference them.
Demonstrates an understanding of product flow throughout the heat shrink process.
Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
Performs duties in cross-trained areas, as required.
Acts as integral member of the Dipping group, in support of the defined Dipping and SSF Company mission, vision, values, and goals.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
0-1 years experience in manufacturing or related field.
