Description Robert Half is looking for a part-time, contract-to-hire Inside Sales Assistant who will eventually develop into a full-time Inside Sales/Estimator once hired on permanently. This role will be for a growing construction company in Pontiac, MI, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. Do you have a background in providing estimations for a construction or similar contracting company? Then this could be a great opportunity for you!Schedule: Hybrid, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, flexible as neededDuties:
Provide customer support by answering phones, qualifying the client's needs, and maintaining communication with the client throughout the process to ensure superior service is provided.
Gather basic project details from the customer during the intake call and scheduling an appointment for an onsite estimate.
Order the appropriate materials needed for each job.
Provide a detailed estimate to the client.
Finalize all contracts with the client.
Requirements
1+ years of experience working in construction, estimating, restoration, flooring, painting, or similar industry, where taking measurements and providing quotes to customers was required.
Detail oriented.
Basic mathematical skills, i.e. able to easily add measurements together without the use of a calculator.
Strong customer service skills
Prior experience writing and finalizing contracts a huge plus.
