We are a family-owned gasoline and c-store company looking for a dynamic individual to lead our HR department. The HR Manager will oversee and support: Talent acquisition, hiring/post-offer requirements, terminations, disciplinary process, performance evaluations, safety, and other investigations. Maintain DOT driver files and quarterly DOT drug/alcohol screens in compliance with FMCSA regulations. They will teach management and employees about our health and retirement benefits through on-going communication. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to propose the best “employee package” to attract and retain employees. The HR Manager will manage third-party relationships with vendors and consultants to maintain the best services. Timely investigate and respond to unemployment claims to maintain the lowest rate possible. Process and review bi-weekly payrolls. Oversee the development and implementation of our Company’s Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in Federal, State, and Local laws.
In-depth knowledge of Human Resources practices and demonstrated success in providing solutions to leadership.
Hands on experience with ADP payroll and HR system preferred.
5+ years of Human Resources management experience.
Bachelor's degree required, accredited HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience leading benefits administration and plan development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment adhering to deadlines.
Detail oriented, problem solver and ability to take ownership of tasks.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
